Robert Fonod  —  Biography

Short Bio

Róbert Fónod is an Assistant Professor at the Chair of Space Systems Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands. Prior to joining TU Delft, he was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. He received the PhD. (2014) degree (mention tres honorable) in Automatic Control from University of Bordeaux, France. He spent several months as a NPI/PhD Fellow at the European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC), the Netherlands, and at the headquarters of Thales Alenia Space (TAS), France. He received the BSc. (2009) and MSc.Eng. (2011) degrees (both with honors) in Cybernetics from Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. Between 2010 and 2013, he was a Scholar of the elite Collegium Talentum program, mentored by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems.
